Hey, it's Mama Schon!

I'm just a city girl that moved to the country to support my husband’s farm boy dreams.  Why Mama Schon? I am a momma to six kind hearted, hard working children but I am Mama Schon to so many others! I'm also an author, community advocate, and a social activist. I believe that life is what you make of it! In order to live our best life, we have to find the blessing in the storm.

I’m a huge believer that you are never too old to chase your dreams. One of my childhood dreams has always been to write stories for children. Last October that dream came true and we released the first of our Once Upon A Farm Series; Miller, A Rather Fancy Goat. 

I’ll admit I never really pictured myself as the “farmer’s wife” but living on the farm has actually brought so much fun and joy into my life. One thing that really lights me up are the animals on the Schon Family Farm. These animals bring so much joy to myself, my family, and any visitors. 

So each story from this series is about a real life animal we had /or currently have on the farm. 

 I want to inspire the imagination of all young readers who believe that the farm is a place of love and acceptance. The animals represent our world where everyone is different, where everyone has a purpose and deserves to be loved. The Farm is a place for great adventure and there are no limits to your abilities.
